Research Leaders Forum

Join Lija Hogan and three remarkable leaders in the UX research field who will share their experience working at some of the top brands in the world. Lija will facilitate a panel discussion with Marieke McCloskey, from LinkedIn; Janelle Estes, from Bentley University (ex-UserTesting); and Marta Rey-Babarro, from Zillow.

The panel will explore how gender data gaps impact design and user experiences across industries and highlight the ways in which data bias can lead to unintended exclusionary practices. In her book, Perez produces a preponderance of evidence that when female-related factors disappear from data sets, the effects of “living in a world built around male data” can range from irritating to life-threatening. She also offers hope when she states: “When women are involved in decision-making, in research, in knowledge production, women do not get forgotten.”

Once per quarter, we gather research leaders for a virtual meeting to discuss common challenges. We feature research leaders sharing lessons learned from their research and highlighting challenges they have faced and how they have addressed them. Each forum features a presentation, discussion, and networking with other leaders.

Attendance is limited to research leaders (managers, directors, etc.) based in the U.S. or Canada.
